Job Description
We are looking for an organized Human Resources Administrator to support day-to-day HR operations for a construction company in Canton, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone who values accuracy, handles sensitive information with care, and enjoys creating a smooth employee experience. The role will contribute across onboarding, benefits support, recordkeeping, compliance documentation, and general HR coordination while helping maintain efficient internal processes.
Responsibilities:
Guide new employees through the hiring process from accepted offer to orientation, ensuring each step is completed on time. Prepare, review, and process employment paperwork such as I-9 documentation and E-Verify submissions with a strong focus on accuracy. Maintain secure and up-to-date personnel files while protecting confidential employee information. Enter and update employee details, status changes, and supporting documents within HR systems and internal records. Respond promptly to employee questions related to HR policies, documentation, and routine administrative requests. Assist with benefits administration by managing enrollments, processing qualifying life event changes, and helping employees understand available options. Support recruiting coordination activities, including pre-employment screening processing and related hiring documentation. Help monitor HR compliance requirements by organizing records and ensuring required forms are completed and retained properly. Prior experience in human resources administration, employee support, or a similar HR coordination role. Working knowledge of employment documentation, including I-9 forms, E-Verify, and other compliance-related records. Experience maintaining accurate employee files and handling confidential information with discretion. Familiarity with benefits administration processes, including enrollments and employee updates. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear written and verbal communication skills for responding to employee questions and preparing clear correspondence. Proficiency with HR systems, digital recordkeeping, and standard office software. Experience supporting hiring activities such as background checks or onboarding coordination is preferred.
