Job Description
Job Summary We are currently seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver who will be responsible for coordinating shipment of all outbound parcels and letters as well as all other shipping-related functions. Create all shipping documentation to accurately record all material leaving the facility. Understand and work in the various inventory systems. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Ensure prompt processing of all customer and internal shipping requests Generate and check input of all shipping paperwork, including but not limited to Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, commercial invoices. Safely load all shipments and verify counts for accuracy. Follow proper shipping procedures and enter all shipments onto the computer system. Be sure that all material is clear and properly marked to the client's requirements. Responsible for health and safety in the immediate work area, and attentiveness to the Company at large. Mail movement & preparation for outbound postal trucks. Process warehouse fulfillment orders in shipping systems. Assist in pulling raw materials as needed. Other job-related responsibilities as needed. Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous shipping experience required Required Skills
- Experience operating a Power pallet jack, Ryder jacks, Forklifts & Clamp trucks.
- Understanding of outbound domestic & international shipping
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be capable of lifting and moving parcels weighing 40lbs. occasionally up to 70lbs.
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
