HR Generalist (Staff Assistant), Human Resources Development Non-Unit Professional position, 37.5 hours/week
Campus Location:
Danvers/Lynn Work Schedule:
Monday
- Friday; 8:30 am
- 4:30 pm; One telework day per week after 90 days
SALARY:
Salary range $60,000.00

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
The HR Generalist (Staff Assistant) supports the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and serves as a back-up to other HR functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Track the performance management processes to ensure that all employees are being evaluated (NUPS, AFSCME, MCCC) Track and process Telework applications and contracts Processes contractual notices Support employee on and offboarding Assist in the scanning of personnel files/documents Support the Employee Service Award Breakfast committee Ensure HR required postings are up to date on both campuses Oversee the organization and updates of I-9 Forms Monitor departmental budget and work with the Finance staff to resolve issues/errors Manage HR projects and initiatives as assigned Update and maintain the HR intranet page Review and process professional development reimbursement requests Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Serve as a back-up to the administration and monitoring of the HR and Benefits email accounts Serve as back-up to the Talent Acquisition Specialist Serve as back-up to the Benefits, Leaves, and Contract Specialist Serve as back-up to the HR Staff Assistant Serve as back-up to data requests Other duties as assigned

Assistant Director of HR Job Requirements:
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 2+ years of experience in general office skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in an HR environment Knowledge of or ability to learn more complex reporting tools (such as Access, Tableau)
