This full-time contractual position is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the Frederick County Doula Workforce Development Initiative. The coordinator leads scholarship administration, mini-grant oversight, workshop facilitation, Medicaid reimbursement readiness support, community partnership development, and data reporting to increase the number, diversity, and sustainability of certified doulas in Frederick County. This position directly supports the Frederick County Health Department mission by improving birth equity, strengthening the maternal health workforce, and expanding access to culturally responsive perinatal support services.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience:
One year of administrative staff or professional work in a health care setting.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience. 2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
