Job Description
Human Resources Coordinator
Human Resources Coordinator Build People. Build Teams. Build What's Next. Behind every successful construction project is a strong team—and we're looking for a Human Resources Coordinator who knows how to help great people do their best work. In this fast-paced role, you'll be at the center of our workforce, supporting employees from the moment they join the company through every stage of their career. You'll partner with field teams, project managers, and leadership to keep HR operations running smoothly while helping create a workplace w people feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed. What You'll Do You'll bring organization, energy, and a people-first mindset to a role that touches nearly every part of our construction workforce.
- Coordinate recruiting, onboarding, new-hire paperwork, and employee orientation.
- Support field and office employees with day-to-day HR questions and needs.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR data.
- Assist with benefits and employee changes.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and construction-specific requirements such as OCIP / CCIP and certified payroll reporting.
- Assist the Safety Director in managing safety training, workforce development, and required certifications.
- Partner with project teams to anticipate staffing needs and support workforce planning.
- Participate in HR initiatives focused on process improvement, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Assist managers with employee relations, performance documentation, and policy communication.
- Help create a positive employee experience across jobsites, offices, and project teams.
- Jump into special projects that make our people processes smarter, faster, and more effective.
- Have experience in human resources—preferably in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or another fast-paced industry.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP
designation is a plus!- Are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the details.
- Communicate confidently with everyone from craft professionals and field supervisors to project managers and executives--bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
- Treat confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
- Are comfortable learning HR systems, payroll platforms, and other technology.
- Enjoy solving problems rather than waiting for someone else to solve them.
- Bring a positive, team-oriented attitude and genuine interest in helping people succeed.
