Job Description

Northern Staffing Services of Petoskey, Michigan is seeking a Temporary Human Resources Administrator to support the HR department of a well-established manufacturing facility in Boyne City, MI . This is a great opportunity for an organized, professional, and people-oriented individual with previous HR or administrative experience. The HR Administrator will serve as a key point of contact for employees, applicants, visitors, and callers while providing day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources team.
Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department Maintain employee time and attendance records Assist with payroll and timekeeping systems Answer and direct incoming telephone calls Greet employees, applicants, customers, contractors, and visitors Prepare correspondence, documents, spreadsheets, and other HR materials Maintain accurate and confidential employee records Assist with HR projects and other departmental needs Prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; additional business or college education preferred 2-3 years of previous Human Resources Administrator experience preferred Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Professional phone and interpersonal skills Ability to handle confidential information appropriately Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Accounting knowledge is a plus
