We are seeking an experienced, organized, and people-oriented HR Coordinator who can support our employees throughout the hiring and employment process while helping us maintain strong HR, onboarding, and compliance practices. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates well across different departments, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Position Summary The HR Coordinator will support the day-to-day human resources functions of the organization, with a primary focus on recruitment, clinician onboarding, employee documentation, personnel-file compliance, training coordination, and ongoing HR support . The ideal candidate must have prior HR experience and a working knowledge of current Michigan employment laws, regulations, and HR practices . Because many individuals and departments are involved in our hiring, onboarding, and clinical operations, we are specifically looking for someone who is a strong communicator, approachable, collaborative, and able to build positive working relationships with employees and leadership . This is a hands-on position. The HR Coordinator should also be willing to assist with additional administrative and operational tasks as needs arise and work as part of the larger team rather than limiting themselves strictly to traditional HR duties. Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources & Employee Support Support day-to-day HR functions for clinical and administrative employees Serve as an approachable point of contact for employees regarding routine HR questions and processes Maintain professional and positive communication with employees, applicants, managers, and leadership Assist with employee relations matters and appropriately escalate concerns when necessary Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and organizational information Help communicate company policies, procedures, benefits, expectations, and HR updates to employees Assist with employee status changes, employment documentation, and other HR-related processes Stay informed regarding current Michigan employment laws, regulations, and HR requirements Clinician Onboarding & Compliance Coordinate and manage onboarding for new clinical and administrative staff Ensure required employment and clinical documentation is completed before or during onboarding Verify and track licenses, certifications, credentials, background checks, screenings, competencies, and other required documentation Monitor expiration dates and follow up with employees regarding missing or expiring documents Maintain accurate and organized employee personnel files Ensure employees remain compliant with applicable company, payer, accreditation, and regulatory requirements Maintain HR and compliance tracking systems to ensure deadlines are not missed Compliance & Accreditation Maintain personnel files in accordance with applicable ACHC, regulatory, and organizational requirements Ensure personnel records contain required licenses, screenings, health documentation, training records, competencies, evaluations, and other required documents Keep personnel files organized and audit-ready Assist leadership in preparing employee documentation for accreditation surveys, audits, and regulatory reviews Identify missing documentation or compliance concerns and proactively follow up until resolved Recruitment & Hiring Assist with the full recruitment and hiring process Create, post, update, and manage job listings on platforms such as Indeed Review applications and assist with identifying qualified candidates Communicate professionally and promptly with applicants Schedule and coordinate interviews Coordinate communication between candidates and multiple members of the hiring team Maintain organized candidate tracking systems and recruitment spreadsheets Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process Assist with offer letters, pre-employment requirements, and transition from candidate to new hire Training & Shadow Visit Coordination Coordinate orientation, training, and shadow visits for newly hired clinicians Communicate with new hires, clinical staff, managers, and trainers to coordinate schedules Track completion of orientation requirements, competencies, training, and shadow visits Follow up when training or onboarding requirements remain outstanding Help ensure new employees have a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience Administrative & Team Support Create and maintain organized HR tracking spreadsheets and systems Draft professional emails, letters, notices, and internal communications Prepare employee ID badges, orientation packets, and onboarding materials Maintain organized electronic and physical HR records Assist leadership and other departments with administrative tasks as needed Be willing to step in and help with additional tasks as they arise Work collaboratively with clinical, administrative, operations, and leadership teams to keep processes moving Help identify areas where HR and administrative workflows can be improved or better organized Required Qualifications Prior professional Human Resources experience is required Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, HR administration, or employee compliance Working knowledge of current Michigan employment laws, regulations, and HR practices Strong understanding of confidentiality and appropriate handling of employee information Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple employees, candidates, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously Strong follow-through and ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities Comfortable communicating with employees at all levels of an organization Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a collaborative team Proficiency with technology and electronic recordkeeping Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field HR experience within a healthcare organization Home health, hospice, skilled nursing, or other clinical healthcare experience Familiarity with healthcare clinician credentialing and personnel-file requirements Experience preparing HR or personnel files for accreditation or regulatory surveys Experience with Google Workspace , including Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Gmail
