Hire Front Desk Attendant Job Description:
PrideStaff is working with a large manufacturing facility in search of an experienced Front Desk Attendant. The Front Desk Attendant plays a vital role within the facilities. The Front Desk Attendant monitors the lobby and work area to determine customer flow. Responds to customer inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner. The Front Desk Attendant also ensures that all guests and employees comply with ITAR requirements. You will assist the Human Resources team performing HR administrative tasks.. The Front Desk Attendant is a full-time, temporary to hire position in Brooklyn Park, MN.
Front Desk Attendant Job Responsibilities:
Greet and assist visitors, answer and direct phone calls, respond to questions referring the visitor to the appropriate person. Disseminate information as requested, enter data into HR systems, type standard documents, and run basic reports. Perform various office duties such as making badges, coordinating meetings, copying, filing, scanning, and preparing, sorting/distributing mail. Order supplies, and employee gifts and provide hospitality assistance for company events. Assist the HR team in updating documentation (letters, forms, standard work instructions, etc.) using existing material; ensure documents are logical and complete as well as accurate in grammar and spelling. Assist HR coordinators and generalists with candidate pre-employment activities. Assist with new employee onboarding process; track incoming HR and payroll paperwork; enter new employee data into HR systems and process with Payroll. Ensure I-9, E-Verify, ITAR, and EEO/Affirmative Action documentation is updated as per procedure to ensure compliance. Serve as a key contact with various outside agencies including emergency personnel, contract vendors, benefits and employee recognition vendors, medical screenings, transport companies, etc. Assist team members' preparation for training events, maintain basic training records, and run reports. Confidentially manage work ensuring information is only shared with internal and external individuals appropriately. Complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Front Desk Attendant Job Requirements:
High School diploma or GED Equivalent Minimum of 1 year of receptionist, administrative assistance, customer service, or other work experience requiring frequent people interaction Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Professional demeanor; ability to handle confidential information with discretion Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone High energy, positive and proactive Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through Bilingual communication skills preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong interpersonal skills Ability to adapt quickly and reprioritize as business needs change Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-cultural environment Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills; a proactive approach Ability to respond to and resolve basic questions and concerns, redirecting complex issues to the appropriate HR team member
Preferred:
Associate degree or post-high school education Good administrative skills or basic skills with a strong interest and ability to learn Ability to use basic office equipment; phone system/switchboard, copier, printer, and scanner Intermediate computer skills; Microsoft Office applications including Outlook email & calendar, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Experience with HRIS systems Ability to compile information and produce basic reports Basic understanding of HR processes and procedures or the ability to learn and follow process Experience providing accurate and compliant records management Experience in a manufacturing company
