Job Description
A well-established Kansas City company is seeking a Human Resources Administrator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats and making an impact across the organization. In this role, you'll oversee day-to-day human resources functions while partnering with the Controller on compliance and administrative initiatives that support the business. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, HR inquiries, and day-to-day employee support. Coordinate all onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and benefit enrollment. Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans. Manage paid time off (PTO) tracking and ensure accurate employee leave records. Support payroll processing by maintaining accurate employee benefit deductions, status changes, and related HR data. Respond to employee requests regarding policies, benefits, payroll, and employment-related matters. Address employee concerns and assist with conflict resolution while promoting a positive workplace culture. Maintain confidential employee files and ensure HR records remain accurate and compliant. Assist the Controller with corporate compliance activities, including maintaining certifications, renewing required registrations, and completing federal compliance documentation and reporting. Support billing and other administrative accounting functions as needed. Administrative support with compliance Qualifications 3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized business environment. Working knowledge of employee benefits administration, onboarding, payroll support, and HR best practices. Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Proven ability to resolve employee issues with professionalism and sound judgment. Comfortable supporting multiple departments and balancing changing priorities. Pay:
