Pay:
Starting at $18.00 per hour, and DOE and/or education

Do you enjoy keeping systems organized, helping people find answers, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes? APS Solutions is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll be a trusted partner in supporting the employee experience from recruitment and onboarding to benefits administration and employee records management. You will play an essential role in helping the Human Resources department operate efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, service-oriented, and eager to grow their career in Human Resources. What You'll Do Support Human Resources Operations Provide administrative support to the HR department through data entry, document management, record maintenance, scheduling, and other departmental activities. Review, process, and maintain department invoices and supporting documentation. Prepare HR-related correspondence, letters, forms, reports, and other documentation. Support departmental projects and initiatives as assigned. Maintain Employee Records & HR Systems Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files. Process employment verifications, unemployment claims, status changes, child support orders, and other HR documentation. Ensure records are organized, complete, and maintained according to established procedures. Update employee information in HR systems and assist with system-related data management. Support Recruiting & Onboarding Post job openings on recruiting platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed, and other job boards. Schedule interviews and coordinate communications with candidates. Track applicant activity and maintain recruiting records. Assist with background checks, drug screenings, reference checks, and employment eligibility verification. Help create an exceptional onboarding experience by preparing employment paperwork, coordinating new hire activities, and partnering with IT to establish system access. Assist with Benefits Administration Update employee benefit information and maintain related records. Assist employees with benefit enrollment and qualifying life event changes. Respond to routine benefits questions and serve as a liaison with benefit vendors. Coordinate the distribution and collection of benefits forms and documentation. Ensure Compliance & Accuracy Help maintain compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws. Support recordkeeping and documentation requirements. Assist with policy acknowledgment distribution and tracking. Ensure all HR activities are handled with a high level of accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality. Employee Support Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and employment verification requests. Coordinate employee training, certifications, and conference registrations. Provide responsive, professional, and customer-focused support to employees and applicants. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Preferred Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. One to two years of experience in Human Resources, administration, office support, or a related role. Experience working with employee records, HR systems, benefits administration, or recruiting support. Why Join Us?
