Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an Experienced HR Assistant (temporary) to join our dynamic human resources team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to support various HR functions, ensuring efficient and compliant management of employee-related processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in human capital management, employment law, and HR operations, contributing to the strategic objectives of our organization. This position is paid and designed to provide valuable experience in a fast-paced environment, supporting initiatives across talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and HRIS management. Key responsibilities include assisting with talent sourcing and onboarding, maintaining employee records, supporting performance management processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and safety regulations. The role requires proactive communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in data entry and documentation. Responsibilities Support talent acquisition efforts by assisting with recruiting activities, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews using applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as iCIMS or Workday. Facilitate employee orientation sessions and ongoing training & development programs to promote engagement and organizational growth. Assist with employee evaluation processes, including performance reviews and feedback collection. Maintain accurate HR data within HRIS platforms like SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or UltiPro; ensure data collection is complete and up-to-date. Support benefits administration activities including enrollments, changes, and compliance with FMLA, Workers' Compensation, OSHA regulations, and other employment laws. Contribute to change management initiatives by communicating updates effectively across teams. Assist with employee relations matters by addressing inquiries professionally and escalating issues as needed. Support project management efforts related to organization design, succession planning, affirmative action planning, and workforce management strategies. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while ensuring compliance with applicable legal standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on administrative tasks such as data entry, contract management, payroll processing (Paychex, ADP), and social media management for employer branding. Qualifications Proven experience as an HR assistant or in a similar human resources support role; prior experience in human resources management is preferred. Familiarity with HR sourcing tools such as Lever or Taleo; proficiency in ATS platforms like iCIMS or Workday is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA standards, workers' compensation procedures, and benefits administration. Experience working with HRIS systems including SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft, or UltiPro. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally. Demonstrated project management capabilities with the ability to organize tasks efficiently. Knowledge of performance management practices and training & development strategies. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Administrative experience supporting workforce planning initiatives such as succession planning or affirmative action programs.
