POSITION SUMMARY
Kemp Sigmon Construction Company (KSCCo), a growing Heavy Civil Construction Company has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative and HR Assistant to join our rapidly growing company. This position will complete a variety of general and HR related administrative tasks and assist with AR/AP and Accounting. This position works in accordance with policies, procedures, and the philosophy of Kemp Sigmon Construction Company.
KSCCO'S EXPECTATIONS OF ALL EMPLOYEES
  • Facilitate open communication with employees, clients, and community partners. Attend and participate in meetings, work groups, team meetings, workshops, individual training, and training conferences and seminars when assigned.
  • Obtains a working knowledge of and comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, Personnel Policies and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures, service plans and related policy and procedures.
  • Reports to work at scheduled times and maintains acceptable attendance records as outlined in KSCCo's Employee Handbook.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
General Administrative Duties:
  • Answer phone and distribute phone calls
  • File, scan, and make copies
  • Sort and send mail
  • General office organization
  • Manage supply inventory
  • Data entry
  • Run errands
  • Job locates
  • Technology set up and coordination with IT
  • Assist with AR/AP and Accounting HR Administrative Duties
  • Prepare and process new hire paperwork
  • Support company recruiting
  • Assist with benefit management
  • Verify employee timecards
  • Track and enter per diems
  • Manage PTO calendar and tracking
  • Assist with safety and incident coordination
  • Manage safety supplies
  • Perform other duties as assigned and reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above

  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and
MVR WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Most of the work is done inside an office environment.
Must be able to:
Maneuver within the office area and sit for prolonged periods of time with some standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing hills or crawling Apply physical mobility, including reaching, lifting, holding, pushing and pulling, carrying, bending, climbing stairs, kneeling, arm and leg extension Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds Moderate noise Work on a computer for much of the workday
Compensation and Benefits:
KSSCo offers a competitive salary and benefits package including paid time off, sick pay, health, dental, and vision insurance, short-term disability insurance, and a Simple IRA with a 3% employer match.

Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
