Job Description

We are seeking a Human Resources Officer to join our mission-driven team. The Human Resources Officer will play an important role in supporting our employees and leadership team across recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, benefits, performance management, compliance, and employee engagement. This position will lead and coordinate recruitment and hiring activities for clinical, administrative, and support positions. Develop and maintain accurate job descriptions and job postings. Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes. Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and supervisors, responding to questions and providing guidance on policies, procedures, and workplace concerns. Support managers with performance evaluations, employee coaching, corrective action, and performance improvement. Administer employee benefits, leave, attendance, and related HR programs. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records. Monitor and support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies. Coordinate employee training, professional development, and required compliance education. Support employee engagement, retention, recognition, and initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture. Prepare HR reports and workforce information for leadership. Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and other organizational initiatives. Partner with leadership to address staffing needs and strengthen workforce planning. Protect the confidentiality of employee and organizational information at all times. Perform other HR duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. 2-5 years of progressive human resources experience. Knowledge of employment practices, employee relations, recruitment, benefits, and HR compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS HR
experience in a community health center, FQHC, nonprofit healthcare organization, or similar healthcare setting.
