32 POSITION SUMMARY The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator manages the daily administrative and operational tasks of the HR Department. The HR Coordinator supports the HR Office in matters related to recruitment and retention, HRIS, benefits, reporting, onboarding, immigration, policies, compliance, performance management, HR administration and culture initiatives.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. Answers questions regarding company policies, procedures, eligibility, benefits, and other pertinent information to employees or job applicants, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations, policies, and procedures, including, but not limited to, records management, reporting, FLSA, EEO, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA. Maintains proper record-keeping practices for all electronic and physical employee personnel files. Assists in maintaining HR system by managing documents, updating company & employee information and building & running reports. Ensures data accuracy and completeness through independent review from periodic audit reports. Administers and provides subject matter expertise in employee benefit plans such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Long-Term Disability, and other programs as implemented. Assists in the administration of FMLA and other leave benefits, Assists in the planning and execution of Curia and HR events. Serves as back-up to the front desk reception and handles associated duties as applicable.

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures. Filing and maintaining documents in an efficient and organized system. Ability to maintain confidentiality of private or privileged information. Knowledge of laws and regulations related to Human Resources. Discretion and ability to keep knowledge gained from work in strict confidence. Ability to work independently, prioritizing and organizing workload to meet deadlines. Must act in a professional and courteous manner and demonstrate an ability to work with a diverse group of individuals. Self-directed, ability to see an issue and proactively propose solutions. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships. Strong service orientation, a desire and willingness to assist and serve others. Ability to write clear correspondence and reports in defined timeframes. Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time productively and effectively while maintaining high-quality results. Demonstrates an elevated level of judgment and discretion. Must possess a high sense of urgency, initiative, and common sense. Strong computer ability, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn basic software. High attention to detail and accuracy required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Active, practicing Catholic in full communion with the Catholic Church, with a demonstrated commitment to the mission and teachings of the Church. High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field required with an emphasis in human resources, or equivalent applicable work experience strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a confidential administrative position strongly preferred. PHR/SPHR or
SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP
certification or the ability to obtain preferred. Experience with administration of Paycor performance modules or other HRIS preferred.
Approximately 5% travel to locations within the Archdiocese of Omaha.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
