JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for administrative processes, special projects, and for providing administrative support for the primary functions within the HR department. This position requires excellent communication and follow-up skills, independent judgment, critical thinking and initiative to plan and execute functions. High attention to detail and performing as a team player is essential.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepares letters and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, HR database, or presentation software Directs incoming HR inquiries from job applicants and employees appropriately Provides support during agency personnel audits, and follows through on any missing documentation, as required Administers employee life insurance enrollments and terminations Supports the HR staff by filing confidential records daily Assists with labor law posters' distribution Provides recruitment support as needed- reference checking, credentialing, job postings, and onboarding documentation.
OTHER DUTIES
Assists with departmental projects as needed (Benefits Fair, Employee Recognition events, mass mailings, internal cross-training, administrative coverage during staff's leaves, etc.) and other HR special projects as assigned.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITES
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects independently. Extensive knowledge of office administrative procedures. Interpersonal skills demonstrating a high standard for customer service, project coordination experience, and ability to work with different levels of employees as well as outside clients/vendors. Proficient in Microsoft office products. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent follow-up skills and skilled in establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
AA degree from an accredited college + 2 years of related experience; orHS / GED + 4
years of related work experience. Prior HR and benefits experience a plus.Pay:
$22.00- $24.
