In addition, the assistant will serve as primary back-up to the front desk receptionist, executive administrative assistant and payroll. The assistant assists with planning and executing employee activities as well as assisting with clerical needs of human resources, duties may include filing, scanning, generating correspondence, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, maintaining records and reports, creating spreadsheets. Assist in the full cycle recruitment process by posting job openings across relevant employment channels, administering pre-employment screening and/or testing, conducting background checks, creating Personnel Action Forms and correspondence, as well as attending career fairs and scheduling or conducting meetings and interviews when necessary. Primary back-up support for front office receptionist who assists in the needs of callers, visitors, and staff in a professional manner. Coverage includes daily breaks and lunch periods Primary back up for executive assistant who supports the executive director, board of directors and legislative committee in a well-organized, timely, and confidential manner with professional discretion. Assist HR in the following activities: Clerical activities Employee Relations Activities Employee onboarding ADP data entry Submits newspaper legal ads as required by the various programs. Reconciles invoicing Education and Experience Associates degree required, Bachelors preferred; two years Human Resources experience with emphasis in onboarding and recruiting. Intermediate computer experience; Strong organizational and communication skills; Ability to multi-task; maintain confidentiality. Bilingual preferred but not required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and

Knowledge of recruiting processes Familiarity with job boards and HR computer systems Proven success in conducting interviews using various methods (phone, video, email, in-person) Ability to travel when required Strong customer service skills Must be articulate, and personable Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and etiquette Attentive to detail Project a professional image Must be able to handle multiple tasks and stressful situations with diplomacy
