Job Summary The Silvercrest Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, affiliated with New York Presbyterian, is a 320-bed skilled nursing located in Briarwood, Queens. We are a unique center of excellence dedicated to providing services to complex acute residents on ventilators and subacute/post-acute care services. Silvercrest is a Patient Centered Care Facility with New York State's largest, nationally recognized and award winning respiratory/ventilator dependent care program. Human Resources Assistant Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant will perform a variety of Human Resources functions including but not limited to HR file maintenance, Leaves of Absences, Onboarding, and Background Checks. This position requires the ability to work independently, collaboratively, exercise good judgement, and take initiative. Duties Maintain and update employee files. Maintain and update employee leaves of absences. Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. Create employee ID cards. Receive employee requests over the phone and email. Provide administrative support to HR projects, including strategic planning efforts. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures. Skills Strong understanding of human resources principles and practices. Knowledge of workers' compensation processes and regulations. Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail. Ability to engage in strategic planning for workforce management. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with employees at all levels.
