Job Description
Company overview - We manufacture high‑quality, American‑made Murphy beds and cabinetry for hotels and homes across the United States. As a fast‑growing, fast‑paced business, we're looking for someone who can multitask effectively and is comfortable using system solutions to manage the many moving parts of the role. This is a full‑time position (40 hours / week) and includes a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation, health, dental, vision, sick time, a 401(k), and more. Position Summary The HR Coordinator plays a key role in supporting employee lifecycle activities, maintaining HR records, administering benefits, assisting with payroll coordination, and ensuring a positive onboarding experience for new team members. This position is ideal for an organized professional who enjoys working with people and has strong administrative and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Employee Administration Maintain accurate employee records and HR files. Prepare employment letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation. Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities. Process employee status changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations. Manage employee data within HRIS and payroll systems. Payroll & Benefits Support Assist with payroll preparation and employee data updates. Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries. Liaise with benefit providers and payroll administrators as required. Support leave tracking, vacation balances, and employee attendance records. Recruitment Support Post job advertisements and coordinate interview scheduling. Screen resumes and assist with candidate communications. Facilitate pre-employment checks and onboarding activities. Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. HR Operations Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations. Prepare HR reports and workforce data as requested. Support employee engagement initiatives and company events. Assist with performance review administration and training coordination. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR programs and policies. Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in an HR, payroll, or administrative role. Working knowledge of HR practices and employment standards. Experience with HRIS, payroll, or workforce management systems. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. High level of professionalism and confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications CHRP designation or working toward certification. Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration. Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or growing business environment. Salary range estimated and dependent on experience: $45,000 - $55,000
