$26.00 per hour 26-07220 Job Summary The HR Administrator provides day-to-day administrative and operational support for human resources activities within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supporting high-volume transactional processes, responding to employee inquiries, maintaining HR records, and assisting with onboarding, timekeeping, payroll support, and employee engagement initiatives. The HR Administrator ensures timely and accurate execution of HR processes while enabling HR leadership to focus on strategic initiatives and complex employee relations matters. Job Responsibilities Provide front-line HR support by responding to employee questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and general HR inquiries. Maintain and update employee records in HR systems while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, orientations, and system updates. Support recruitment activities by scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, and maintaining applicant tracking systems. Coordinate and track leave of absence, attendance, and timekeeping processes using Kronos or similar systems. Assist with payroll support activities, including data entry, audits, and resolution of basic discrepancies. Prepare employment-related documents, including employment letters, job changes, reports, and employee documentation. Support compliance activities by maintaining personnel files and ensuring documentation is complete and current. Coordinate employee engagement activities, site communications, and employee events. Partner with supervisors to gather information, route HR requests, and ensure timely follow-up. Provide administrative support for employee relations activities, including documentation, scheduling meetings, and tracking cases. Manage general HR administrative responsibilities, including filing, data tracking, reporting, and calendar coordination. Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Job Requirements Minimum of 1-3 years of human resources administrative or HR support experience; manufacturing environment experience preferred. Experience supporting onboarding, timekeeping, payroll administration, and general HR processes. Experience supporting both union and non-union employee populations preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset. Ability to take initiative, provide employee-facing support, and appropriately escalate issues when necessary.
