We are seeking an organized, dependable, and people-focused Human Resources Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources department. This position works closely with employees and management and plays an important role in keeping HR services organized, responsive, and professional.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and employee support across a broad range of HR activities. The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing day-to-day responsibilities, protecting confidential information, communicating with employees, and working collaboratively with managers and the HR team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources department and assist with department priorities. Assist with recruitment activities, interview scheduling, hiring paperwork, onboarding, and new employee orientation. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records, employee files, and HR documentation. Assist employees with questions regarding benefits, leave, policies, procedures, and general HR matters. Support benefits administration, leave tracking, workers' compensation reporting. Prepare HR reports, correspondence, forms, spreadsheets, and other department materials. Assist with payroll-related HR information, employee changes, and routine record updates. Help ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated and followed consistently. Handle confidential employee and company information with professionalism and discretion.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Previous Human Resources, administrative, or related experience required. College degree in HR or similar field a plus. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow through. Strong computer skills Excel/Word and ability to learn HR systems and software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs. Professional, approachable, dependable, and service-oriented attitude. Ability to work effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
