GPI is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator / HR Assistant to support our corporate Human Resources team and help ensure accurate payroll processing and smooth HR operations across the organization in our Melville, NY office. Responsibilities:
Payroll Support:
Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing for a multi-state employee population. Review and audit time entries, payroll reports, and employee data for accuracy and compliance. Support payroll adjustments, deductions, and reconciliations. Partner with HR and Finance to resolve payroll questions and discrepancies. Maintain payroll records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Human Resources Support:
Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including employee data entry and documentation. Maintain accurate HRIS records and employee files. Support benefits administration tasks such as enrollments, audits, and employee inquiries. Assist with employment verification requests, reporting, and internal audits. Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in payroll, HR administration, or a related role. Familiarity with payroll systems, Enterprise Resource Planning software (Deltek VantagePoint is a plus), and HRIS platforms (UKG Ready is a plus). Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members GPI offers excellent benefits, including a 401(k) plan, ESOP, medical/dental/vision plans, paid time off, and more.
