Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized People Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting the recruitment process, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and studio managers. As a People Assistant, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining all job boards, sourcing candidates and interviewing while facilitating the onboarding and training of new talent. Your energetic approach and meticulous attention to detail will help us attract top candidates and uphold our commitment to excellence.
What You'll Do:
Coordinates and manages the end-to-end hiring process. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about people operations.
Duties Recruitment support:
Post open roles, review resumes, do first-round applicant screens, and schedule interviews with studio and department managers.
Onboarding:
Prepare new-hire paperwork and state-specific forms, complete and verify Form I-9 documentation, coordinate orientation, and request system access and equipment.
Records and HRIS:
Keep employee files accurate in our HRIS (Rippling), process personal data and job changes, and maintain secure physical and digital records.
Employee support:
Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions, and route complex or sensitive issues to the Director of People.
Compliance and reporting:
Help keep required postings, trainings, and documentation current in each state, and pull routine HR reports such as headcount and turnover.
Projects:
Support handbook updates, training rollouts, and other People team projects as needed.
What You'll Have:
Prior experience in recruiting, HR, or administrative support preferred. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously. Discretion in handling confidential candidate and employee information. Required 1-2 years of administrative, office, or HR support experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially spreadsheets Clear, professional written and verbal communication Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several deadlines at once Sound judgment and complete discretion with confidential employee, payroll, and medical information Occasional travel to our studios may be required for onboarding, training, or site support.
