Job Description

Proctoring Center Assistant Job Description The Proctoring Center Assistant supports the daily operations of the College's Proctoring Center by assisting with test proctoring, monitoring testing environments, and performing routine administrative tasks. Under the supervision of the Proctoring Center Coordinator, this role helps ensure a secure, fair, and professional testing experience for students while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to College policies. This is a part-time position ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a structured academic environment. Responsibilities Welcome students to the proctoring center Check in students for test proctoring appointments Send appointment reminders Monitor closed-circuit television system during test proctoring Communicate with faculty regarding test details and materials Maintain a quiet, orderly, and distraction-free testing environment Identify and appropriately respond to testing irregularities, escalating concerns to the Proctoring Center Coordinator as needed Perform basic administrative tasks including data entry, filing, copying, and record maintenance Maintain accurate testing documentation Assist with organization of testing materials and workspace Answer questions from students and faculty regarding test proctoring procedures Maintain strict confidentiality of student information, exam content, and testing records Demonstrate professionalism, fairness, and consistency when interacting with students, faculty, and staff Light cleaning and organizing within the Proctoring Center Minimum qualifications High school diploma or GED Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of standard office software (Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Word) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Preferred qualifications Prior experience with test proctoring Prior experience in a higher education setting or office setting Part time hours available for Monday through Friday afternoons and evenings, and Saturdays 10am-2pm
