About the Position Loving Open Arms is seeking an experienced DODD HR Compliance & Credentialing Coordinator who understands the ins and outs of hiring, onboarding, and maintaining compliant personnel files for an Ohio DODD provider. This is not a general HR position. We are specifically looking for someone who has experience working with an Ohio DODD agency provider , preferably providing Homemaker/Personal Care (HPC) and/or Transportation services. The ideal candidate should be able to confidently take an applicant from application → background checks → required training → compliant employee file → cleared to work while ensuring all DODD requirements are met. Key Responsibilities Manage the hiring and onboarding process for DSP/HPC employees Review applicants to determine whether they meet DODD employment requirements Coordinate and track BCI/FBI background checks Complete and document required database and exclusion checks (ARC) Verify required licenses, certifications, and employee qualifications Ensure employees complete all required
DODD/DSP
training before providing services Track CPR/First Aid and other required certifications Build and maintain complete, audit-ready personnel files Maintain expiration and renewal tracking for employee requirements Review employee files regularly for missing or expired documentation Ensure employees are properly cleared before being placed on the schedule Stay current with changes to Ohio DODD rules and provider requirements Assist management in preparing for DODD reviews, audits, and compliance monitoring Work closely with management and supervisors to ensure staffing practices remain compliant Help develop and maintain HR onboarding procedures, checklists, and compliance systems What We're Looking For Ohio DODD experience is strongly preferred.
Ideal candidates will have:
Previous experience working in HR, compliance, credentialing, or onboarding for an Ohio DODD agency provider Strong knowledge of Ohio DODD hiring and employee requirements Experience with Homemaker/Personal Care (HPC) services Knowledge of DSP qualification and training requirements Experience completing and documenting required background and exclusion checks Experience maintaining DODD-compliant personnel files Strong understanding of employee training and certification requirements Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to identify compliance problems before an employee begins providing services Ability to independently research and interpret DODD requirements when necessary Preferred Experience 2+ years working with an Ohio DODD provider Previous DODD audit or compliance-review experience HR, credentialing, compliance, or provider-certification experience Experience helping a new DODD agency establish its hiring and onboarding systems Most Important We are looking for someone who already understands the DODD world. We want a person who can look at an employee's file and confidently answer: "Is this person completely cleared and compliant to provide HPC services in Ohio?" If you have direct experience handling hiring, onboarding, personnel files, and compliance for an Ohio DODD provider, we would love to speak with you.
