HR Coordinator Status:
Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00/hr.
DOE Schedule:
Part-time position, 24 to 30 hours per week , Monday through Thursday, with work hours scheduled during normal business hours. Position Summary The HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the Human Resources department, with a strong focus on full-cycle recruitment, employee support, onboarding, and administrative HR processes. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers, ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance initiatives, and assisting with various HR projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements. Create and post job advertisements on various recruiting platforms. Source, screen, and interview candidates. Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process. Conduct reference checks and support pre-employment screening activities. Prepare and issue offer letters. Monitor recruiting metrics and recommend improvements to hiring processes. Attend job fairs and recruiting events as needed. Employee Support & Relations Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and company procedures. Provide day-to-day employee support while escalating complex employee relations matters to the HR Manager. Assist with employee recognition, engagement, and retention initiatives. Support communication of HR programs, policies, and organizational updates. Onboarding & Orientation Coordinate all new hire onboarding activities. Conduct new hire orientation and ensure completion of required paperwork. Facilitate I-9 verification, E-Verify, and new hire compliance requirements. Coordinate training schedules and introductions with supervisors. Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new employees. Offboarding Coordinate employee separations, resignations, and terminations. Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback trends to management. Ensure collection of company property and completion of offboarding checklists. Process employee status changes and maintain separation records. HR Administration Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records. Process employee data changes, including promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and personal information updates. Prepare employment verification requests and HR correspondence. Support record retention and document management processes. Assist with scheduling meetings, training events, and employee communications. Compliance & Audits Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Assist with internal HR audits, personnel file audits, I-9 audits, and recordkeeping requirements. Track required certifications, licenses, and training records. Support preparation of reports and documentation for audits and compliance reviews. HR Projects & Department Support Assist the HR Manager with special projects, process improvements, and strategic HR initiatives. Support policy updates, procedure development, and HR process documentation. Participate in benefits enrollment and open enrollment activities. Assist with performance management and employee development programs. Support training coordination and tracking. Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures for HR processes. Qualifications & Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. 2+ years of HR, recruiting, or administrative experience required. Full-cycle recruiting experience strongly preferred. Paylocity experience highly preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities. Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices preferred. SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
