Description We are seeking a highly organized and people-oriented Part-Time Human Resources & People Operations Assistant to support daily HR activities for both manufacturing and corporate teams on-site in New Holland, PA. This part-time role is ideal for an individual who enjoys creating a positive employee experience while providing administrative and operational support across multiple HR functions. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains confidentiality, and enjoys helping employees and leaders navigate day-to-day HR processes. Collaborative Team Environment Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Support recruiting efforts by posting job openings, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
Assist with pre-employment processes, including background checks, drug screenings, and employment documentation.
Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a positive and organized new hire experience.
Prepare new employee packets and support orientation logistics.
Employee Support & HR Administration
Serve as a first point of contact for employees with general HR-related questions.
Maintain employee records and personnel files while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
Process document filing, scanning, record retention, and secure disposal of sensitive information.
Assist with updates and maintenance within HR systems and databases.
Employee Experience & Engagement
Coordinate employee recognition initiatives, celebrations, service anniversaries, and engagement activities.
Assist with company events, training programs, wellness initiatives, and employee communications.
Support efforts that promote a positive workplace culture and strengthen employee engagement.
HR Operations & Administrative Support
Create employee identification badges and coordinate uniform orders, exchanges, and inventory tracking.
Schedule meetings, training sessions, and visitor appointments.
Support payroll and timekeeping administration through data verification and reporting.
Help prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and other HR-related materials.
Monitor and order office supplies and departmental resources.
Additional Support
Assist with special projects, audits, and departmental initiatives as needed.
Provide administrative assistance to HR leadership and site management teams.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of business and department objectives.
Qualifications
Required
2+ years of Human Resources HR experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Preferred
Experience using HRIS systems; ADP experience is a plus.
Experience supporting employees within a manufacturing or production environment.
Work Environment This position is primarily performed in an office setting within a manufacturing environment. The role requires frequent interaction with employees, managers, visitors, and external vendors. Standard office equipment including computers, printers, telephones, and copiers are used regularly. Schedule This is a flexible part-time position averaging 16 to 24 hours per week. Work schedules may vary based on business needs.
