THE POSITION
Join the Department of Transportation in Lycoming County as a Roadway Programs Technician 1 and support key responsibilities that keep operations running efficiently. This position allows you to build valuable experience in planning, records management, and vendor coordination. You will assist staff, organize invoices, and help maintain accurate county records. Your work will support smooth workflows and dependable service for the community.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position focuses on providing technical and administrative support to maintain accurate records, manage invoicing tasks, and assist in planning activities for county operations. As a Roadway Programs Technician 1, you will perform the following duties:
Invoice Processing:
Reconcile invoices, manage records, and resolve issues with vendors and office staff
Plan Support:
Assist with reviewing work plans and updating pavement treatment and program data
Record Management:
Maintain filing systems, coordinate records retention, and support document preparation
Vendor Coordination:
Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure correct coding
Employee Processing:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or
An Associate's Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
