Hybrid - administrative/remote work combined with in-office and occasional operational support as needed Position Overview Tacon 1 LLC is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and professional HR & Administrative Coordinator to support the company's growing workforce and administrative operations. This position will work closely with executive leadership and Operations to assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, employee documentation, policy administration, licensing and training records, personnel files, and general office support. The ideal candidate has prior experience in human resources and office administration, understands the importance of confidentiality and accurate documentation, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting a growing security company. This role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Human Resources Support Assist with recruiting and candidate screening Schedule and participate in applicant interviews Maintain applicant and recruiting records Assist with new-hire onboarding and orientation Prepare and maintain personnel files Track employee documentation and required acknowledgments Assist with employee offboarding and separation documentation Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information Assist management with attendance and corrective-action documentation Prepare employment letters, notices, acknowledgments, and other HR correspondence Assist with employee questions regarding company policies and procedures Support benefits enrollment and employee-benefit administration as applicable Policy & Compliance Support Assist leadership with reviewing and updating company policies Maintain current versions of the employee handbook, SOPs, and HR forms Track required employee certifications, licenses, training, and expiration dates Assist with security-license application and renewal documentation Maintain compliance trackers and personnel records Assist with workers' compensation, leave, and other employment-related documentation as directed Help ensure required employee documentation is complete and properly retained Research HR and employment-compliance matters for management when requested Identify documentation or compliance gaps and bring them to management's attention Administrative Support Maintain organized digital and physical company records Manage spreadsheets, trackers, calendars, and internal databases Assist with scheduling meetings, interviews, training, and appointments Prepare business correspondence, reports, forms, and internal communications Monitor and appropriately route designated company emails Assist with uniforms, equipment, and company-property tracking Help maintain training and employee rosters Support invoice, billing, and document organization as needed Assist executive leadership and Operations with special projects Perform other administrative duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in human resources, office administration, administrative support, or a closely related field Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities High attention to detail Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, word processing, and general office software Ability to learn HR, scheduling, payroll, and compliance systems Reliable transportation for occasional in-person responsibilities Professional demeanor when communicating with employees, applicants, clients, and leadership Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to candidates with: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or other HRCI certification Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field 2+ years of HR or administrative experience Experience with recruiting and interviewing Experience maintaining personnel files Experience with HRIS, payroll, scheduling, or applicant-tracking systems Experience reviewing or administering employee handbooks and company policies Experience in security, military, law enforcement, government contracting, or another regulated industry Familiarity with Colorado employment practices and documentation requirements Skills & Competencies The successful candidate should demonstrate: Discretion and confidentiality Professional communication Organization Follow-through Problem-solving Attention to deadlines Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities Comfort working with senior leadership Ability to communicate professionally with employees at all levels Willingness to identify problems rather than waiting for them to become larger issues Ability to maintain accurate records in a growing organization Work Schedule This is a part-time position of up to 30 hours per week, with hours based on company workload and operational needs. The position is hybrid. Occasional schedule flexibility may be required to support interviews, onboarding, or operational matters outside normal business hours. Classification W-2, hourly, non-exempt All hours worked must be accurately recorded. Overtime should not be worked without prior management approval.
