This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, loves keeping things organized, and is interested in building their knowledge and experience across multiple areas of Human Resources. As an HR consulting firm, we support a diverse group of clients across a variety of industries. No two days are exactly alike! The HR Assistant will work closely with our HR Consultants and leadership team to provide administrative and project support for both our internal operations and our clients. We are looking for someone who is dependable, resourceful, professional, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail. What You'll Do Responsibilities may include: Provide administrative support to HR Consultants and the Evolve HR team Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including preparing paperwork, coordinating required documents, and maintaining employee files Draft and format offer letters, job descriptions, employee communications, HR forms, and other documents Assist with recruiting efforts, including posting positions, reviewing and organizing candidate information, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates Support new-hire orientation and onboarding activities Maintain and organize electronic personnel files, HR documents, templates, and client records Assist with tracking employee information, training requirements, performance reviews, benefits information, and other HR-related deadlines Support HR compliance projects, audits, handbook updates, and policy administration Assist with research related to HR policies, employment practices, and compliance requirements Help coordinate meetings, employee trainings, and other HR initiatives Update spreadsheets, trackers, databases, and internal systems Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and client materials Communicate professionally with clients, employees, candidates, vendors, and other business partners Provide general administrative and project support as needed Handle confidential and sensitive employee and client information with discretion Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as the needs of our clients and team evolve What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who: Is exceptionally organized and detail-oriented Has strong written and verbal communication skills Is comfortable managing multiple projects, clients, and deadlines at the same time Takes initiative and is willing to jump in wherever help is needed Is resourceful and comfortable researching and finding answers Has excellent follow-through and doesn't let things fall through the cracks Is professional, responsive, and service-oriented Exercises good judgment and understands the importance of confidentiality Is comfortable working independently while also being part of a collaborative team Is adaptable and able to shift priorities when something urgent comes up Has strong computer skills and is comfortable learning new technology and systems Has proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace Has an interest in Human Resources and a desire to continue learning and growing within the field Qualifications 1-2+ years of administrative, HR, recruiting, office, or professional services experience preferred Previous Human Resources experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required Strong proficiency in Word/Google Docs, Excel/Google Sheets, email, and calendar management Excellent proofreading, formatting, and written communication skills Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information The Person Who Will Thrive We're a small, growing HR consulting firm, which means we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being part of a team and understands that sometimes everyone pitches in.
