Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented, service-focused HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This role plays an important part in supporting our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our human resources programs. The HR Coordinator will support the full spectrum of HR operations, with primary responsibility for biweekly payroll administration, employee lifecycle processes, HR technology management, benefits administration, compliance coordination, and employee engagement initiatives. This position is ideal for an organized HR professional who enjoys working with people, solving problems, managing deadlines, and making a positive impact on the employee experience. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Coordinator will work closely with employees, managers, the Leadership Team, Finance, and external vendors to provide timely, accurate, and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Payroll & HR Operations Process and administer biweekly payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Maintain payroll records, deductions, garnishments, tax reporting, and payroll-related general ledger entries. Reconcile payroll discrepancies, respond to employee payroll inquiries, and partner with the Director of HR and Paycom to resolve issues. Maintain HRIS and related HR technology platforms, ensuring accurate employee data and reliable system functionality. Process employee lifecycle transactions, including new hires, status changes, transfers, and terminations. Generate HR reports and workforce data as requested. Support year-end payroll activities and reporting. Benefits, Total Rewards & Wellness Conduct new hire benefits orientations and assist employees with benefit-related questions. Coordinate annual open enrollment, including employee communications, system updates, and vendor coordination. Process benefit enrollment, termination, and employee change transactions in benefit portals and payroll systems. Audit benefit deductions and invoices, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions. Support job pricing and compensation benchmarking activities. Recommend new benefits and programs that enhance the employee experience. Coordinate ACA reporting and related benefit compliance activities. Lead wellness initiatives and serve as the company Wellness Program Champion. Manage participation in wellness platforms, engagement surveys, employee recognition programs, and other employee engagement initiatives. Support onsite employee recognition and celebrations Employee Lifecycle & Talent Support Coordinate pre-employment activities, including offer documentation, new hire paperwork, background checks, drug screenings, and pre-employment physicals. Prepare new hire materials, business cards, and onboarding documentation. Coordinate offboarding processes, including system updates, final payroll coordination, benefit terminations, exit documentation, and exit interviews. Coordinate new hire and annual performance review processes. Assist with annual merit increase and performance management cycles, including HRIS system updates and communications. Support the maintenance of accurate and current job descriptions. Assist employees and managers with policy, personnel, and performance-related questions. Complete employment verifications and unemployment claims. Compliance & HR Administration Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations. Maintain accurate, confidential personnel files and employee documentation. Assist with employee handbook updates and policy administration. Coordinate required compliance postings, training, and audit preparation. Respond to routine employee HR inquiries and provide general guidance. Support employee engagement initiatives and culture-building activities. Upload invoices into the company's procurement system. Provide general HR administrative support as assigned. Organizational Support Provide HR administrative support for Leadership Team and Board of Directors meetings, including materials, reporting, and documentation. Assist with HR dashboards, presentations, reports, and internal communications. Coordinate meetings, documentation, and follow-up on HR action items. Perform additional HR operational and administrative duties as assigned. Maintain payroll records, deductions, garnishments, tax reporting, and payroll-related general ledger entries. Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience. Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience. Experience with HRIS systems, including data management and system functionality. Experience supporting benefits administration and annual open enrollment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR reporting tools. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Self-directed and agile, with the ability to prioritize workload, manage deadlines, and maintain momentum in a fast-changing environment.
Pay:
$22.00 - $35.00 per hour
