Jackson & MacNichol has specialized in disability claims for over 40 years. We specialize in Veterans disability law with over 7,500 clients nationwide. We take pride in our motto for the Veterans, which is AYou fought for us, now let us fight for you!@ We have about 17 people that work in the office in South Portland, Maine and more than 95 who work remotely in Maine, across the Country and Mexico. What is the job? We are looking to hire a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our Human Resources department at Jackson & MacNichol. The Payroll Assistant will handle bi-weekly payroll processing for over 110 employees, Multi-State Payroll Tax issues, Benefit processing, HR mail, assist with monthly staff incentives, compliance and other special projects. Job Description The Payroll Specialist is responsible for opening confidential HR mail, scanning and processing, Bi-Weekly payroll reporting and timecard corrections, ordering and mailing monthly staff incentives. The Payroll Specialist is a direct report to the Director of HR and will participate in the weekly Human Resources Department meeting. The ideal candidate would be professional, familiar with excel and working in an office, good customer service skills, strong computer skills, organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
