We're looking for an experienced Payroll & HR Specialist to join our corporate team in Saddle Brook, New Jersey . This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who also enjoys supporting Human Resources initiatives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Position Summary The Payroll & HR Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Once payroll activities have been completed, this role will support the Human Resources team with employee lifecycle activities, HR administration, compliance, reporting, and special projects. This position requires advanced knowledge of ADP Workforce Now , outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to manage payroll for multiple companies, including newly acquired businesses. Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years of recent, hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now. Candidates without this experience will not be considered. Key Responsibilities Payroll Process weekly and bi-weekly multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule. Validate employee hours, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, garnishments, and payroll adjustments. Maintain payroll records and employee data within ADP Workforce Now. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, tax documentation, and audit support. Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and reconciliation. Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Support payroll implementation and integration efforts during company acquisitions. Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate payroll reporting. Human Resources When payroll processing is complete, provide support to the Human Resources team by: Assisting with employee onboarding and offboarding activities. Preparing employment documents, letters, and HR-related communications. Maintaining employee personnel files and HRIS records. Supporting new hire paperwork, I-9 compliance, E-Verify, and employment documentation. Assisting with employee relations matters while maintaining confidentiality. Supporting recruiting activities, including interview scheduling, background checks, and onboarding and orientation coordination. Participating in special HR projects, policy updates, process improvements, and acquisitions as assigned. Qualifications Required Minimum three (3) years of recent, hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now (required). Minimum three years of full-cycle payroll processing experience. Experience processing multi-state payroll. Strong knowledge of payroll laws and compliance. Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel. Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred not required). Preferred Experience working in a multi-entity or rapidly growing organization. Experience supporting payroll integrations during mergers, acquisitions, or system implementations. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
