Location :
Hartford Position Summary Central CT AHEC is seeking a dedicated and motivated Youth Program Coordinator to lead the implementation of our Youth Pipeline Programs and workforce development initiatives. This position plays a key role in supporting youth exposure to health careers and career readiness opportunities within designated schools throughout Central Connecticut. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with youth, highly organized, and committed to advancing educational and workforce equity. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement Youth Pipeline Programs in assigned schools and community settings
- Develop and support workforce development opportunities aligned with Central CT AHEC's mission
- Build and maintain strong relationships with school administrators, educators, students, and community partners
- Facilitate workshops, presentations, career fairs, and program activities for youth participants
- Track program participation, outcomes, data collection, and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate program planning, logistics, and reporting requirements
- Support outreach and recruitment of students for youth programs
- Represent Central CT AHEC at school and community events as needed
- Reports to the program manager Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in education, public health, human services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Three years' experience working with youth, preferably in school-based or workforce development settings
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse populations
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to designated schools throughout Central CT
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus Work Environment
- Full-time, 35 to 40 hours a week, in person, this position does not offer medical insurance benefits. This is an in-person position and is not eligible for remote or work-from-home arrangements.
