About ArborOne Farm Credit ArborOne Farm Credit provides loans to farmers and rural residents in 12 counties in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina. We are a cooperative, which means we are in business to benefit our customer-owners. ArborOne strives to remain the lender of choice dedicated to providing agricultural lending and farm related services to rural families within our territory. We are also part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, a financial cooperative owned by its member-borrowers that has been serving rural America since 1916.
Position Summary:
ArborOne Farm Credit is seeking a Human Resources Administrator / Assistant Corporate Secretary to administer a wide range of human resources programs and activities in support of the Association's overall business plan and strategic direction. This position plays a key role in advancing organizational effectiveness by supporting talent management, employee engagement, compliance, and workforce planning initiatives. The HR Administrator will serve as a resource to leadership and staff by providing guidance on human resource needs, policies, and procedures while ensuring consistency, confidentiality, and alignment with organizational goals. In addition to HR responsibilities, this position supports the Association's business objectives through coordination of board-related and corporate governance functions, contributing to effective governance, compliance, and organizational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer human resource programs and activities, including talent management, organizational and performance management, training and development, employee benefits, employee relations, and succession planning. Coordinate recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and employee engagement activities to attract and retain a high-performing workforce. Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Assist in the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures to promote understanding, consistency, and fairness across the Association. Ensure confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee and organizational information. Board & Corporate Secretary Support Support the Association's business objectives and strategies by coordinating administrative and logistical aspects of board-related functions. Serve as Assistant Corporate Secretary by supporting corporate governance activities, including preparation and maintenance of official records, meeting materials, agendas, minutes, resolutions, notices, and related governance documentation in compliance with organizational and legal requirements. Team & Organizational Support Support organizational planning efforts aligned with the Association's strategic objectives. Provide assistance to internal teams and proactively suggest improvements to processes, systems, and workflows as needed. Actively contribute to organizational initiatives and goals outlined in the Association Business. Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support operational efficiency and a positive workplace culture. Qualifications Required Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Self-motivated with the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects independently and efficiently Ability and desire to learn, with a willingness to apply new procedures, concepts, and best practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR-related software systems Ability to travel within the territory serviced by the Association, as required Preferred Three to five (3-5) years of experience in corporate governance, employee engagement, recruitment, and/or hiring Farm Credit experience SHRM or HRCI professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
