Human Resources Assistant Newbasis - 2.3 Lebanon, TN Job Details Part-time $24 - $26 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Confidential information handling HR legal compliance High school diploma or GED Employment law in talent management Full Job Description The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department by assisting with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, payroll support, compliance, and employee communications. This position plays an important role in ensuring HR processes are completed accurately, confidentially, and in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while providing exceptional customer service to employees and managers. Key Duties Assist with posting job openings on internal and external job boards. Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications. Coordinate candidate interviews with hiring managers. Prepare offer letters and onboarding paperwork. Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and employment verification. Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding to ensure a positive employee experience and completion of all required employment documentation. Prepare and maintain new hire files and ensure all onboarding documentation is completed in compliance with federal, state, and company requirements. Maintain onboarding checklists and personnel files. Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee personnel files in accordance with company policy and applicable employment laws. Process new hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, and terminations in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Ensure employee records remain accurate and confidential. Assist with document retention and recordkeeping. Track employee attendance, disciplinary actions, and corrective action documentation while maintaining accurate records. Prepare employee correspondence, HR communications, and employee flyers as requested . Schedule meetings, interviews, orientations, and other HR-related appointments as requested. Assist with benefits coordination, including new hire enrollments. Assist employees with benefit enrollment questions. Process benefit enrollments and qualifying life event changes. Other duties as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Minimum of two (2) years of administrative or Human Resources experience preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, payroll support, or leave administration is a plus. Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), preferably ADP Workforce Now or similar systems, is preferred. Basic knowledge of Human Resources principles, employment laws, and HR best practices. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Manual dexterity required using hands to finger; handle, feel and type; reach with hands and arms.
