Summary:
We are currently hiring for the full-time position of HR Assistant. This position provides administrative and operational support to the HR department, manages the end-to-end onboarding process and contributes to the key HR functions, including recruitment, compliance, coordination of payroll/HR systems, reporting and employee/organization communications and support. Ensures a positive new employee experience. Contributes to the ongoing optimization and enhancement of onboarding and new employee experience and programs.
Responsibilities include:
Facilitates full-cycle recruitment activities, including posting positions on relevant platforms, maintaining applicant tracking systems, applicant screening and coordinating interviews, preparing/extending job offers. Initiates and tracks background/reference checks/drug screens/other applicable requirements are completed in a timely manner; establishes new personnel files. Serves as the point person for new employee questions. Partners and communicates as applicable with Compliance, Credentialing and applicable teams to support the onboarding and new hire process. Coordinates and administers new hire orientation. Assists employee engagement initiatives, communications, recognition programs and HR-related events. Supports and prepares regular and annual processes, including annual performance reviews, policy updates, employee appreciation and holiday events, etc. Participates in special HR projects and process improvement initiatives. Generates routine HR-related reports and prepares spreadsheets for HR data inquiries and leadership/organization support. Maintains and updates HR files/records, HR trackers, HRIS/payroll systems and other related databases. Conducts regular file audits to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements; engages with leaders and employees regarding the collection of new and pending items. Processes and initiates employee status changes and related paperwork, e.g. terminations, promotions, internal changes, compensation updates, etc. Prepares and extends internal offers. Serves as point person for file review during audits. Initiates Worker's comp claims, short term disability claims, etc.; serves as liaison to related employee or carrier questions or updates. Provides confidential and timely support to employees; answers employee inquiries related to benefits, policies, etc., escalating inquiries or issues to HR leadership and/or designated HR team members as appropriate. Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin/Management or Communications preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of two years' experience in the HR field preferred. Knowledge and experience with the principles and practices of Human Resources and Payroll administration; or related experience in business administration, administrative support, office management, recruitment, records/compliance management or hospitality management required. Previous healthcare experience a plus. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and be able to utilize and learn Payroll/HRIS system and other recordkeeping and HR management software as needed.
