Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support across all HR functions in a fast-paced CPG manufacturing environment. This role supports recruiting, onboarding, employee records, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement. The HR Coordinator partners with plant leadership, employees, and corporate HR to support efficient HR operations and foster positive employee experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTalent Acquisition & OnboardingCoordinate hourly and salaried recruiting activitiesSchedule interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring processConduct pre-employment activities including background checks, drug screens, and employment verificationPrepare and administer offer letters and new hire documentationCoordinate and facilitate new employee orientation and onboardingMaintain onboarding checklists and ensure completion of required documentationEmployee Records & HR AdministrationMaintain employee personnel files and HRIS recordsProcess employee status changes including promotions, transfers, pay changes, and terminationsEnsure accuracy and confidentiality of employee informationAddress employee questions about policies, benefits, and HR proceduresGenerate HR reports and workforce metrics as requested Payroll & Benefits SupportAssist with timekeeping audits and payroll data collectionSupport payroll processing by verifying attendance, PTO, and employee changesAssist and coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and open enrollment activitiesMaintain benefit and leave administration records Employee RelationsAssist with employee engagement and recognition programsSupport investigations and documentation of employee relations issuesCoordinate employee communications and HR-related eventsCompliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulationsMaintain I-9, EEO, FMLA, ADA, and other required employment recordsSupport OSHA reporting and workers' compensation administrationAssist with policy administration and employee handbook updatesParticipate in safety meetings and training initiatives Training & DevelopmentAssist in maintaining training records and certificationsAssist managers with onboarding and development programsSupport performance review administration and documentation
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field requiredMinimum 2-4 years of HR, payroll, recruiting, or administrative experience; Manufacturing or CPG industry experience preferredExperience with HRIS systems and payroll processes preferredKnowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and HR best practicesStrong organization and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationStrong attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including ExcelAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong customer service and interpersonal skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT
Office environment usually quiet Frequently standing, walking, sitting, talking, or hearing, Continually utilize hand and finger dexterityCombination of office and manufacturing floor environment.

Frequent interaction with production employees, supervisors, and management.

May require occasional overtime to support recruiting events, onboarding, audits, or payroll processing.

Ability to walk production areas and comply with plant safety requirements.
