+ Employer Contribution Toward Medical Premiums About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established Dallas law firm, is seeking an experienced Firm Administration | HR & Accounting to oversee the day-to-day business operations of the firm. This is not a narrowly focused HR or accounting position. It is an opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and serving as the operational backbone of a professional services organization. The ideal candidate has experience managing the business side of a law office where they have handled Human Resources, accounting, vendor relationships, facilities, technology coordination, employee benefits, payroll, office administration, and special projects. You'll work closely with the Firm Administrator and partners to ensure every aspect of the firm's operations runs efficiently. What You'll Do Human Resources & Employee Administration Manage all day-to-day Human Resources functions Oversee recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, and personnel records Administer benefits, insurance, PTO, 401(k), and employee programs Process payroll and maintain HR compliance Serve as the primary HR resource for attorneys and staff Accounting & Financial Operations Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, client billing, and general bookkeeping Reconcile bank accounts, trust accounts, credit cards, and petty cash Prepare financial information for the firm's CPA Assist with budgeting, cash flow, financial reporting, and partner distributions Oversee accounting personnel and ensure accuracy across daily financial operations Office & Firm Operations Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the firm Oversee office vendors and negotiate service agreements Coordinate facilities maintenance and office improvements Serve as liaison with outsourced IT providers and assist with internal technology issues Assist with practice management software, phones, internet services, Westlaw, and other operational systems Support attorneys and partners with operational needs and special projects Continuously improve office processes and administrative workflows Leadership Supervise administrative, accounting, legal support, and office staff Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability across administrative functions Build a collaborative, service-oriented office culture Partner closely with firm leadership on strategic initiatives What We're Looking For We're searching for someone who has truly been the "go-to" person within a professional office. The ideal candidate has experience overseeing many of the following: Human Resources Payroll Employee Benefits Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Client Billing Bookkeeping Bank Reconciliations Vendor Management Office Administration Facilities Management IT Vendor Coordination Budgeting Staff Supervision Accounting Department Oversight CPA Coordination Executive Support Special Projects Preferred Background Previous experience working in a law firm Strong accounting and bookkeeping experience Experience administering payroll and employee benefits Comfortable supervising staff across multiple departments Excellent organizational and communication skills Able to prioritize competing responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail Someone who enjoys being the person everyone depends on to keep the office running smoothly Why This Opportunity?
