Job Description
FUNCTION OF THE JOB
The Human Resources Coordinator supports operating units by implementing human resources programs and is a resource for performance management, human resources services, employee relations, retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations and completing personnel transactions. Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending courses of action. Fosters teamwork, cross functional communication, personal growth and accountability.INTERACTION
Report to Human Resource Manager Bealls Logistics, IS, Transportation, Loss Prevention and Payroll Department Direct interaction with Logistics Associates, Supervisors and ManagersSUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
(Essential Functions): Acts as an employee champion and change agent. Assess and anticipates HR related needs. Formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. Implement and administer Bealls policies and procedures. Provide high-quality advice and service to leadership on daily employee relations and performance management issues. Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve associate's experience. Responsible to support the Logistics & Corporate HR teams on benefit administration (medical, dental vision, 401k, open enrollment...), programs and procedures. Supports the benefit administrator in resolving issues with enrollment forms, require supplemental documents, FMLA & Short Term Disability eligibility, and third party contact. Liaison between Payroll Department and Logistics Management team to assist with any issues associated with time clocks, punches, approved time off or pay issues. Support Operations Management with associate forms: Employee Classification Wage Change (ECWC), Termination Form, Review Forms, Counseling Forms, I-9 documentation etc, in a timely manner. Ensure Separation, Counseling and Coaching Database are kept up to date and partner with Operations Management to input data and track changes. Assist organizing and overseeing associate engagement activities including company picnic, team building events, celebrations and job & health fairs. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects concerning associates business and operations. Escalate employee relations matters to the HR Manager or HR Director. Performs other duties as needed to support the needs of the business.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience preferred. Must have a minimum of 3 years Human Resources or Operations experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Haitian Creole) is preferred. Fundamental knowledge of human resource management and knowledge of state and federal employment laws.JOB DESCRIPTION
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate logically and clearly in a group or individual setting.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel & Power Point.
- General experience with HRIS (Oracle, Legions) & ATS (Taleo) system preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing work requirements
- Self-directed, multi-tasking, hands on, and action oriented with the ability to perform in high pressure and dynamic situations.
- Goal oriented and customer focused with ability to exercise great initiative independent judgment.
