Controller/HR Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources (HR) Clerk to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide vital administrative support to our HR director, helping to manage daily operations, maintain accurate employee records, and assist with recruiting and onboarding processes. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a high level of integrity when handling confidential information.
Key Responsibilities Maintain Records:
Update and maintain physical and digital employee personnel files, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Support Recruitment:
Post job openings to external boards, review incoming resumes, and coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
Onboarding & Offboarding:
Assist with processing new hire paperwork, setting up background checks, preparing orientation materials, and coordinating exit procedures.
Data Entry & Reporting:
Enter employee data (e.g., leaves, attendance, training) into our internal HR systems and generate basic reports.
Payroll Support:
Assist with verifying timesheets, tracking hours, and gathering necessary documentation for the payroll processing team.
General Administration:
Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding basic policies, answer HR phone calls, and manage incoming department mail.
Qualifications and Skills Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in an administrative support or clerical role; prior experience in an HR environment is highly preferred.
Tech Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with ADP or payroll software is an asset.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service-oriented mindset.
Organizational Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

$21.50 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
