Primary Purpose:
To provide exceptional customer service to visitors of the Administration Building and applicants of the Substitute Department while supporting Human Resources functions and operations.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or hold a GED Certificate
Special Knowledge Skills:
Proficiency in English, Spanish preferred Ability to manage stressful situations Ability to analyze problems in high stress situations and choose appropriate course of action Proficiency in utilization of software database systems Proficiency in Google Documents and/or Excel spreadsheets Experience utilizing Office 365 apps
Experience:
Job experience relating to public relations
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist Phone Operator in answering calls to the Administration Building and Substitute Office Provide good public relations and attentive customer service Check visitors in the Hall Pass system Maintain confidentiality at all times Direct visitors to departments and notify departments of visitors, as needed Responsible for completing projects/tasks as assigned by Director and Substitute Specialist Assist in the development and maintenance of the Administration Building Directory Assist with Human Resources records maintenance such as scanning and file audits Back-up for fingerprinting and ECISD badges (extensive background check required) Manage community concerns and provide connections to appropriate departments Support teacher pipelines by communicating regularly with teachers regarding certification and maintaining accurate records of the progress Support substitute department by conducting reference checks and preparing applicants for upcoming substitute orientations Other duties as assigned
