Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Assistant is responsible for supporting the Human Resources function through a variety of administrative, operational, and employee-facing responsibilities. This role provides comprehensive HR support with an emphasis on employee relations, investigations, onboarding, benefits administration, Safety and compliance. The HR Assistant serves as a key contact for employees and management, ensuring HR processes are carried out accurately, professionally, and in accordance with company policy and employment law.
RESPONSIBILITIES
First and foremost is the safety of our people and maintaining a clean working environment (5S). Must ensure teams follow written and verbal instructions, including Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining employee database Maintain proper records of employee attendance and leaves Develop and maintain company policies such as hiring, training and de-hiring among others. Submit online job postings, shortlist candidates and schedules job interviews Perform pre-screening of potential candidates for open positions Coordinate orientation by sharing onboarding packages and explaining company policies for new employees Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their enquiries
Administrative Duties:
Provide HR & Safety support to employees working 2nd shift (typically afternoon/evening hours) Assist with onboarding and orientation of new hires. Process HR documents such as employment verifications, status changes, and disciplinary forms Answer employee questions regarding policies, benefits, attendance, and payroll Track attendance, timekeeping records, and report discrepancies Support recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations Assist with employee engagement activities and shift-specific communications Maintain confidentiality of all employee information
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Administration field 3+ year of administrative or office support experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google and ability to learn new systems quickly. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Experience supporting People Operations, recruiting, or training teams. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
