Key Responsibilities As an HR Generalist, you will support day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance, seamless employee experiences, and effective departmental administration.
Day-to-Day HR Operations:
Provide timely advice and assistance regarding employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits, development, and employment laws.
Compliance & Policy:
Partner with local and corporate departments to resolve HR policy issues. Ensure all operational practices strictly comply with state and federal employment laws.
Compensation & Benefits Support:
Assist employees with health and financial well-being inquiries, maintain accurate benefit selections, and provide timely documentation.
Onboarding & Talent Acquisition:
Assist with candidate screening, recruitment strategies, and continuously improve the new hire onboarding experience.
Data & Documentation:
Maintain accurate HR records. Prepare and distribute headcount, termination, and staffing reports, and ensure all payroll activity is submitted accurately and on time.
Responsibilities Skills & Qualifications Education & Certifications Degree:
BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field (Preferred).
Certification:
PHR or SPHR certification (Preferred).
Experience & Tech Skills Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of HR experience (Preferred); experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment is highly desired.
Core Knowledge:
Hands-on experience with HRIS, compensation structure, benefits administration, and payroll processing.
Technical Fluency:
Proficiency with prevailing HR technologies (e.g., Kronos, Taleo, PeopleSoft, Cypress, and Employment Screening Services).
Core Competencies Integrity:
Absolute commitment to ethical decision-making and handling highly confidential information.
Organization:
Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary Ranges Compensation is determined by several factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and localized market data. Location Annual Salary Range Herndon, VA $89,694 - $110,592 (Includes regional supplement)
