VP, Human Resources Jones Networking is recruiting for an HR Administrative Assistant to join the corporate office of a global manufacturing company in Sterling, VA. The HR Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources team while serving as the primary front desk receptionist for the corporate office. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for an individual interested in building a career in Human Resources while gaining experience in office administration, employee support and customer service.Human Resources Administrative Assistant Position Summary:
- Provide administrative support to the HR department across various functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training, and HR compliance.
- Assist with new hire onboarding activities, including preparing onboarding materials, scheduling orientation sessions, and collecting employment documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and confidential HR files in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with employee events, recognition programs, training sessions, and company-wide communications.
- Process and track HR forms, personnel changes and employee requests.
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, candidates, vendors, and employees. Greet guests professionally and ensure a positive visitor experience.
- Manage visitor check-in procedures and issue visitor badges as required.
- Create and update spreadsheets, reports, and databases.
Qualifications Summary:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's Degree is a plus.
- Minimum one year of HR related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Professional demeanor and customer-focused attitude.
Pay:
