3+ months, with potential for temp-to-perm for the right candidate About the Opportunity Our client, a growing organization located in Burlington, MA, is seeking an HR Administrator to join their team on a temporary, part-time basis. This position will support the day-to-day operations of the HR function and work closely with the CFO and internal leadership team. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional with 1-2+ years of experience who enjoys being hands-on and supporting a variety of HR functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with benefits administration, payroll support, HRIS updates, onboarding, timekeeping, and general HR administration. The initial assignment will be at least three months, with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right person. The schedule is flexible within a 20-24 hour workweek, with the team anticipating that the hours will generally fall Monday through Thursday. The role will require approximately one day per week onsite at the Burlington office. Key Responsibilities Payroll Support Serve as a backup and provide support for semi-monthly and biweekly payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now. Review employee timecards and assist with payroll batch creation, payroll previews, and acceptance. Create and manage payroll batches for expenses, commissions, bonuses, and prorated compensation for new hires and terminations. Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2s and ACA forms through ADP. Process timecard adjustments for historical pay periods as needed. Benefits Administration Retrieve, review, and process monthly benefit invoices across multiple vendors. Review and approve new hire benefit elections and qualifying life event changes in ADP. Ensure benefits changes are accurately communicated to and reflected with insurance carriers. Process employee terminations through the COBRA system. Serve as a point of contact between employees and the benefits broker to help resolve benefits questions and issues. Employee Lifecycle & HRIS Support hiring managers with open positions by posting roles, providing candidate resumes, and coordinating interviews. Manage new hire onboarding logistics, including offer paperwork, onboarding documentation, first-day orientation, and IT notifications. Process employee changes within the HRIS, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other employee updates. Maintain employee information in internal platforms, including recognition and performance management systems. Support general day-to-day HR administration and employee lifecycle activities. Timekeeping & Reporting Audit weekly employee timecards and follow up with employees regarding missing submissions. Add or deactivate project codes in ADP Time & Attendance at the request of Finance. Prepare and distribute monthly headcount reports to the Finance team. Run and distribute recurring Finance timesheet reports. Ensure HR and payroll data is accurate, complete, and up to date. Qualifications 1-2+ years of experience in an HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, Office Administrator, or similar role. Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems; ADP Workforce Now experience is strongly preferred. Familiarity with benefits administration and employee lifecycle processes. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling payroll, benefits, and employee data. Ability to work independently and follow established procedures and documented processes. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable handling confidential employee information. Ability to work onsite approximately 1 day per week in Burlington, MA. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
