Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support a client team in Auburn, Maine through a Contract assignment. This role combines strategic HR partnership with hands-on employee support, helping leaders navigate workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and people-related decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, a practical approach to employee relations, and the ability to balance compliance with a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Advise managers and team leaders on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and policy application to support fair and consistent outcomes.
- Conduct and document workplace investigations, gather relevant information, and provide recommendations aligned with company standards and employment practices.
- Partner with business leaders on performance management matters, including coaching conversations, corrective action, and resolution planning.
- Support compensation-related reviews by analyzing internal factors and helping leaders make informed pay decisions.
- Manage key HR administrative processes such as preparing offer documentation, maintaining employee records, and coordinating onboarding activities.
- Lead orientation sessions for new employees and help employees transition smoothly into the organization with clear guidance on policies and expectations.
- Provide onsite support connected to integration activities and collaborate with stakeholders to address people impacts during implementation efforts.
- Travel as needed to deliver in-person HR support, build relationships with local leadership, and respond to workforce needs across assigned areas.
