We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead our human resources function and serve as a trusted partner to employees and leadership. Job Summary The HR Manager oversees core human resources functions, including employee relations, compliance, performance management, training, payroll, benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, and safety program management. Duties HR Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and leadership Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and investigations Drive performance management (coaching, documentation, improvement plans) Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and employee experience Ensure compliance with federal/state employment laws Payroll & Benefits Review and submit weekly payroll for accuracy and compliance Maintain payroll records, deductions, and garnishments Administer benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.) Lead annual open enrollment and employee communications Training & Development Coordinate leadership, compliance, and skills training Track certifications and required training across departments Partner with leadership to improve performance Safety & Risk Management Lead and manage company-wide safety programs in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and applicable state regulations Investigate incidents (injuries, vehicle accidents, near-misses) and implement corrective actions Maintain safety logs, reporting, and compliance documentation Lead safety meetings, trainings, and company initiatives Partner with leadership to enforce accountability and improve safety performance Support insurance, claims management, and loss prevention efforts What We're Looking For 3-5+ years of HR experience (HR Manager or Generalist level) Strong knowledge of employment law (FMLA, ADA, workers' comp, etc.) Experience with payroll and benefits administration Experience with safety programs, OSHA compliance, or risk management strongly preferred Ability to operate in a fast-paced, service-based environment Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Experience in construction, trades, or service industry is a plus Why Join Rainforest?
