HR Manager Arizona Eye Consultants - 3.2 Tucson, AZ Job Details Full-time 9 hours ago Benefits Dental insurance Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Position Summary Arizona Eye Consultants is establishing a new Human Resources Manager role to build and lead the practice's HR function. Reporting to the Practice Administrator, the HR Manager will oversee full-cycle recruiting, employee onboarding, benefits administration, and the performance review process, while serving as a trusted partner to department managers and supervisors. This is a newly developing role with the opportunity to shape HR processes and infrastructure as the practice grows. The primary function of this position is to support the Practice Administrator across a range of administrative and operational responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Recruiting & Hiring Review resumes and applications for open positions across the practice Screen candidates and coordinate the interview process Facilitate reference checks for candidates under consideration Coordinate and facilitate second interviews with department managers and supervisors Extend offers and communicate hiring decisions in partnership with the Practice Administrator Onboarding Facilitate onboarding for all new employees, ensuring a smooth and consistent new-hire experience Prepare and process new-hire paperwork, orientation materials, and required compliance documentation Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees during their first weeks of employment Benefits Administration Manage medical and dental benefits enrollment for new hires Serve as the point of contact for employee benefits questions and eligibility issues Negotiate contracts and renewal terms for the practice's annual medical and dental benefit plans Evaluate carrier proposals and coverage options to ensure competitive, cost-effective plans Performance Management Facilitate the performance review process for all employees Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to ensure timely, consistent, and fair evaluations Maintain review documentation and track completion across departments General Administrative Support Assist the Practice Administrator with other HR and operational responsibilities as needed Support the development of HR policies, procedures, and best practices as the role and function grow Maintain accurate and confidential employee records Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required Master's degree (MBA or MHA) preferred Prior experience in an HR generalist or HR management role; healthcare or medical practice experience preferred Working knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management practices Experience negotiating vendor or benefits contracts preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization High degree of discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential employee information Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently Proficiency with HRIS, benefits administration platforms, and standard office software Growth Potential As this is a newly developing role, responsibilities may expand over time. Future scope may include payroll administration, in addition to the core recruiting, benefits, and performance management functions outlined above. Work Environment This position is based on-site at Arizona Eye Consultants and works closely with the Practice Administrator, department managers, supervisors, and staff across the practice.
