Job Description

We are looking for an HR team member with strong payroll knowledge to support daily people operations in Fontana, California. This contract-to-permanent position will partner closely with HR leadership to help maintain compliant HR practices, deliver a positive employee experience, and oversee accurate payroll administration. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on approach to employee relations, onboarding, benefits coordination, and record management while balancing day-to-day priorities with attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with HR leadership to carry out human resources programs and apply company policies in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll activities, including reviewing time records, validating attendance data, calculating pay, and coordinating payroll tax administration.
  • Monitor payroll practices to help ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and local wage and tax requirements.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding pay, benefits, and compensation matters with timely and accurate guidance.
  • Coordinate new employee setup and offboarding activities, including communicating key information related to payroll and available benefits.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date personnel documentation and ensure employee records are handled accurately and confidentially.
  • Support the administration of benefit plans by assisting with enrollments, updates, and employee communications.
  • Address employment-related inquiries and provide clear interpretation of HR policies, procedures, and workplace guidelines.
  • Assist with payroll reviews, audits, and reporting to provide leadership with reliable information for decision-making.
