A Human Resources Manager manages human resources functions for a company or organization, including the recruiting, hiring and training of employees. Works with executive management to develop and implement staffing and compensation plans and works to attract and retain qualified employees. Oversees training and development initiatives. Manages compensation and benefits structure and provides information to employees. Monitors compliance with employment-related regulations. Implements company policies and deals with staffing or disciplinary issues as needed.

You'll play a key role in recruiting top talent, developing employees, improving performance, protecting the firm through California employment law compliance, and helping shape the future of our organization. What You'll Do Talent Acquisition InRecruit attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, intake specialists, and administrative staff. Create and manage job postings across multiple hiring platforms. Screen applicants and coordinate interviews. Conduct reference and background checks. Extend offers and oversee onboarding. Conduct initial phone, virtual, and in-person interviews. Employee Relations Serve as the primary HR resource for employees. Resolve workplace concerns professionally and confidentially. Coach managers on employee performance and disciplinary matters. Conduct workplace investigations when necessary. Performance Management Implement employee performance review systems. Develop Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs). Track attendance, productivity, and employee development. Assist managers with coaching and accountability. HR Compliance Ensure compliance with California employment laws. Maintain employee personnel files. Administer leave requests, accommodations, and workplace policies. Update employee handbook and HR procedures. Help reduce employment-related risk for the firm. Payroll & Benefits Coordinate payroll with accounting. Manage employee benefits and health insurance. Process new hires, terminations, and final pay requirements. Assist with workers' compensation claims. Training & Development Coordinate onboarding and orientation. Develop internal training programs. Help managers improve leadership and communication. Build systems that support employee growth and retention. Qualifications 1+ years of Human Resources experience. HR experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred. Strong knowledge of California employment law. Experience recruiting attorneys and legal staff is highly preferred. Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Preferred Experience Recruiting legal professionals. Employee investigations. Performance management. California leave laws (CFRA, FMLA, PDL, ADA/FEHA).
